Micki Baron, MD was born and raised in San Francisco. She completed her Bachelors Degree at Wesleyan University (in Connecticut). She moved back to San Francisco to work in women’s health research at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital while completing her Post-Baccalaureate requirements at Mills College. She completed her medical education at UCSF School of Medicine where she focused her studies in Medical Education and Family Planning.
She continued her training in OB/GYN residency at UCSF, where she split her time between the UCSF Medical Center and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Her training, in addition to the general practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology, included Centering Pregnancy prenatal care, family planning, trauma-informed care, and minimally invasive surgery. She felt honored to provide high quality care to the women of San Francisco, regardless of insurance status.
Dr. Baron enjoys helping her patients make informed decisions about their health care. She hopes that by taking the time to explain all the options available, that women can make the best possible decision for themselves. She is especially passionate about cervical cancer screening, contraception, surgical decision-making, and high-risk pregnancy. She learned Spanish as a young child and speaks fluently. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the many beautiful places around the Bay Area with her family and friends.
